About Smart and Skilled

From January 1, 2015, the NSW Government is changing the way Vocational Education and Training is funded. This reform is called Smart & Skilled.

Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. It's helping people in NSW get the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers.
Smart and Skilled provide eligible students with:

• an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III
• government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas.

With Smart and Skilled, you have more choice when selecting courses and training providers. To determine if you're eligible click on this link:- are-you-eligible?

To use the Eligibility Checker: Go to the Course Finder and click the 'Estimate your fee' button. You can then check your eligibility and get an estimate of the fee for your course.
